Inspired by the elevator doors in the lobby, Vicky pulled rectilinear patterns and applied them to a modern Moorcroft shape – where the edges make perfectly straight, converging lines. Her design incorporates chevrons, sunbursts, fountains, arc motifs and endless varieties of geometric patterns. Cleverly, the linework from the door patterns fans out to meet the forming lines of the Chrysler Building itself in her design.
