Over two decades ago, Nicola’s triptych plaque utterly transformed the stained-glass effect - black lead work and panes of colour, tinged with the slightest ash-grey – into clay.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNicola ushers back turquoise blue birds beak-to-beak, ruby tulips, and roundels created by leaves that mimic the famous iron work in the celebrated White Room. You can see this room in the buttermilk panels that shimmer like the late afternoon sun.
